Learn More About VR-NR
Self-regulation through Neuro-regulation (NR):
-
Measure brain states, with EEG (electroencephalography)
-
Give neurofeedback, through gamification
-
Self-regulate, with brain training
No requirement for expensive EEG equipment,
-
We use inexpensive yet scientifically-validated Muse wearable headsets.
Not only do we give neurofeedback in 2D,
-
We also provide immersive 3D neurofeedback in VR with Meta Quest headsets.
Virtual Reality (VR) Psychology:
- Immersive Presence
- Emotional Salience
- Realism and Surrealism
Neuroregulation (NR) Physiology:
- Effects on CNS (Central Nervous System, e.g., EEG)
- Effects on SNS (Sympathetic NS, e.g., Heart-rate [HR])
- Effects on PNS (Parasympathetic NS, e.g., HR Variability [HRV])

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do I need a Meta Quest VR headset? (OPTIONAL)
NO, you do NOT need a VR headset to use VR-NR in 2D format. BUT, if you want to do immersive NR in 3D, than YES, YOU WILL need a Meta Quest VR headset. VR headsets are sold separately on the Meta Store. You may also consider purchasing the (optional) link cable.
-
Do I need a Muse EEG headset? (YES)
YES, you DO need a Muse EEG headset to use VR-NR. EEG headsets are sold separately on the Choose Muse Store.
-
Do I need a Windows PC? (YES)
YES, you DO need a Windows computer to use VR-NR. Most medium-end PCs will be suitable for use in 2D format, but use in 3D format requires a suitable GPU. You can check out if your current PC is VR ready.
-
Do I need background in psychology or neuroscience? (OPTIONAL)
We will be releasing a BEGINNER version of VR-NR designed for plug-and-play wellness activities in the future. BUT, YES, to use of the current CLINICAL-RESEARCH version requires suitable training in psychology and neuroscience, particularly an understanding of real-time EEG analysis. To find suitable education or treatment providers you may wish to consult ISNR or related clinical-research societies.
-
Is there a manual? Are there online training workshops? (YES)
YES, there is a user manual that comes with the software download and we host online trainings on this website.
